We at Clear Channel Radio are big fans of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs – and we want him to have a radio!

After all, radio played a crucial role in getting Mr. Gibbs his current job. The Obama campaign outspent all others on radio and ran more ads than any other campaign.

And while we realize that government salaries don’t always match those in the private sector, Clear Channel Radio believes that’s no reason to be without the most ubiquitous form of media in the country.

So today, we’re going to help Mr. Gibbs out. At 3pm eastern, Hot 99.5’s Kane will gather the full range of consumer electronics that receive radio – including an iPod! – and then travel in the Hot 99.5 station van to deliver them in care of President Obama at the White House this afternoon.

We’ll be bringing a portable, desktop, clock, in-dash unit if he owns a car, HD Radio with iTunes tagging, an FM adapter for his iPod, and the URLs for all his favorite streaming radio stations. We’ll even help him download Clear Channel’s iheartradio mobile app to his smart phone!

Because 230 million people listen to radio each week, and we don’t want Mr. Gibbs to miss a thing!
