Cars.com Experts to Highlight the Importance of Measurement, Process to Internet Sales Success in NADA Convention Workshops

Cars.com will discuss how to implement proven internet sales and measurement processes during workshops it will co-present and present this week at the 92nd annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention and Expo in New Orleans. The company also will exhibit at the event in booth No. 2941.

“As dealers work to rebuild sales momentum in 2009, driving consistent, measurable performance from their internet departments plays a critical role,” said Mitch Golub, president of Cars.com. “These workshops outline the strategies and tactics needed to merchandise their listings, stick with shoppers until they purchase and gauge the impact their efforts have on the bottom line. Only by continuously monitoring and fine-tuning their online operations can dealers generate the results they want.”

Dennis Galbraith, Cars.com vice president of dealer products and training, joins David Kain, president of Kain Automotive to present “Managing for Profitability: Tracking and Measuring Media Value in the Online Age.” Based on dealership goals and objectives, this workshop will give dealers an understanding of what to track, and how to track it, in order to truly understand their media ROI. This knowledge allows dealers to effectively measure the complete value of various online and offline advertising channels, enabling them to best mange their marketing mix for optimal results, impact and profitability. The session will be held:

  • Saturday, Jan. 24, 11 a.m., Room 214
  • Sunday, Jan. 25, 3:30 p.m., Room 214
  • Monday, Jan. 26, 8:30 a.m., Room 214
  • Monday, Jan. 26, 10:30 a.m., Room 221

Ralph Ebersole, Cars.com director of automotive consulting and dealer training, will present “The Four Pillars of Online Process: How to Drive Peak Performance and Internet Sales Results.” In this workshop, dealers will learn how to make their entire operation a success by building a strong foundation of online advertising and internet sales processes. Long-term success and the ability to weather staff turnover hinges on implementing sales processes that are consistently implemented, communicated, refined and enforced. The session will be held:

  • Sunday, Jan. 25, 11 a.m., Room 214
  • Sunday, Jan. 25, 3:30 p.m., Rooms 201 & 202
