Kansas City Southern Declares Preferred Stock Dividends

The Executive Committee of Kansas City Southerns (KCS)(NYSE:KSU) Board of Directors today declared a cash dividend of $5.3125 per share on the outstanding 4.25% Redeemable Cumulative Convertible Perpetual Preferred stock. The dividends will be payable May 15, 2008 to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 1, 2008.

The Executive Committee also declared a cash dividend of $12.8125 per share on the outstanding 5.125% Cumulative Convertible Perpetual Preferred stock. The dividend will be payable May 15, 2008 to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 1, 2008.
