Macy’s, Inc. (NYSE:M) today announced plans to open a Bloomingdale’s in the new CityNorth development in the Northeast Valley area of Phoenix in fall 2009.
This will be Bloomingdale’s first store in Arizona and its 10th store in the western United States. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2008.

The new store will be approximately 180,000 square feet on three levels and will feature distinctive, upscale apparel and home merchandise with a focus on contemporary designer, bridge and luxury brands.
