Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour ends with $2 billion in ticket sales

Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" earned $2 billion in gross ticket sales, according to The New York Times. Swift took the stage for the final time on Dec. 8 in Vancouver.

Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" broke records as the nearly two-year-long show concluded Sunday.

"The Eras Tour" earned $2,077,618,725 in ticket sales, according to The New York Times. Now that the tour has concluded, Swift authorized the release of the financial numbers for the first time, the outlet reported.

"The Tortured Poets Department" singer-songwriter first took the stage 21 months ago in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17, 2023. Swift took her final bow in Vancouver on Dec. 8.

The over $2 billion total is double the amount of any other gross ticket sales of a concert tour, The New York Times reported. A total of 10,168,008 fans attended "The Eras Tour," according to Swift's touring company.

That total also doesn't include other "Eras Tour"-related merchandise and business moves made by Swift. "Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Book" hit shelves on Nov. 29. The book, which was the biggest publishing launch of 2024, retailed at $39.99 and sold 814,000 copies during Thanksgiving weekend, according to Circana.

Swift also sold T-shirts, hoodies and other merchandise at each venue along with her online shop.

The "Midnights" singer even took her tour to the big screen. "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" premiered Oct. 13, 2023, exclusively in theaters and brought in $92.8 million on its opening weekend. While the show isn't available to view in theaters anymore, fans can still watch from the comfort of their couch on Disney+.

While bringing in the big bucks with "The Eras Tour," Swift also chose to give back to those who helped make it happen. Throughout the last 21 months, Swift gave out $197 million in bonuses to truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, make-up, wardrobe, physical therapists and video team, according to People magazine.

FOX Business reached out to a representative for Swift for comment.

During her final show, Swift told the crowd: "We have toured the entire world. We have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I've ever done in my entire life."
