CJF Supports U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Workforce and their Efforts to Hold Campus Leaders Accountable

NEW YORK - Dec. 19, 2023 - PRLog -- The Center for Justice and Freedom (CJF) has been monitoring the growth of Anti-Semitism in recent weeks, particularly on college campuses, and is extremely alarmed about both actions and rhetoric. The CJF applauds the act of the U.S, House of Representatives Committee on Education and Workforce's holding a Full Committee Hearing on these issues.

The Committee held a full Committee hearing entitled: "HOLDING CAMPUS LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE AND CONFRONTING ANTI SEMITISM" on December 5 to investigate the issue on several campuses.

Dr. Michael Engelberg, the founder of CJF, said, "I would like to thank the Committee for its work on this important topic. We are looking forward to seeing the effects of hearing unfold and to learning from the testimony."

Engelberg added, "The Center for Justice and Freedom has grave concerns about the rise of Anti-Semitism on Campus and the assault on student's rights and safety. We believe that these hearings were a very important part of calling attention to this growing problem. We see the rise of antisemitism on college campuses across the country and we believe that faculty, staff and students need to be safe from anti-Semitic attacks and violence."

"We applaud the fact that many of the Members of Congress drew attention to the importance of removing any groups and individuals who are advocating for violence or conducting themselves violently. All students have the right to feel safe on campus and to be able to study without fear or threat of violence. Action must be taken against students or groups impacting the rights of others. The University presidents reaffirmed that they are against all things Anti-Semitic. Now the schools need to be encouraged to continue not just to speak out but also to act against this scourge."

The Center for Justice and Freedom works to assist victims of terrorism, oppression, and injustice to obtain recompense through the legal system, and to bring public and governmental attention to their stories and situations. Additionally, we strive to reduce polarization and discord in the public sphere to reduce future instances of terrorism, oppression, and injustice. The CJF applauds the Committee on Education and the Workforce's efforts to call attention to the problem of the rise of Anti-Semitism on campus.
