Millions and a Growing Rate of People are Hit with Care-giving Responsibilities

City of Dallas, Texas Jul 20, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - It can be like an emotional nuclear device ignited in a person's life. No matter how it occurs. It can be an accident, incident or diagnosis. The moment it occurs, it is life altering not only for the patient but also for any person who will be required to support the person in need. The patient may get medical intensive care and any other level of medical care. However, beyond the professional medical care, the daily supporting Care-giver is too often not prepared or poorly prepared for the Care-giver experience. This, according to Dr. Steven DavidSon the Nation's torch-bearing Christ-based Counselor, and also the leader of the nation's largest (Stand Alone) virtual church. He has written a new book on care-giving: Cancer, Covid and the Care-giver in Christ.

"Based on information from AARP and other sources millions are hit with care-giving responsibilities, and the rate is growing.  No question when any calamity strikes we rightly think of the persons at the center of the condition. But given our personal experiences the Care-giver is often perplexed and overwhelmed by the new reality. We've used our experience and others over the last thirty years to write about best practices. My experience began  with a stricken parent and more recently my wife was diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer. And in between I've  had some level of care-giving responsibilities with several other family relationships. The Care-giver needs a one-stop guide to the myriad of Care-giving topics."

While Dr DavidSon, his wife, children and grandchildren contributed to the book as a care-guide helpful to anyone, the book particularly cites those with the unique attributes in-Christ as care-givers.

"There is no greater care than care demonstrated by Christ-Jesus to humanity (in our view). The brief book begins with our most recent experience (wife's diagnosis of Stage Four Cancer). Then answers questions for what we call the Care-givers in Christ (CGIC) to nearly all the major issues CGICs encounter. It highlights the topics and provides a resource section in the book and web site where CGIC's can get additional information."

According to Dr DavidSon if you have this book as a brief-guide, you have a wealth of CGIC best practices and informational resources to guide you with short-term care, long-term care or after-life care.

"We all must be mindful, regardless of age. Each person will be a care-giver, need care-giving or both. And this book is a major resource for those in the Care-giving experience."

Dr DavidSon's Christ-based Counseling ministry will be offering a CGIC Credentialing program for persons who work as care-givers or desire to teach about being a CGIC at CaregiverinChrist.info. The site is scheduled to be on-line within days of the release of this article. Looking inside!  Get the Book!
