Control Of Documented Information Procedures Offered By London ISO 9001 Checklist

By: Get News
Documented information in ISO 9001 refers to all important information that must be controlled and maintained. It is a combination of documents and records.

ISO 9001 Checklist is pleased to announce that the company maintains guidance and procedure processes for businesses of all sizes. Control of documented information is one of the comprehensive templates available from the ISO 9001 company. Documented information consists of records and documents that a business uses or relies on. The terms ‘documents’ and ‘records‘ previously described all of the important information and data that exists within a company. Since 2015 when the current ISO 9001 guidelines were released, the terms changed and are combined as ‘documented information’.

ISO 9001 information is defined as essential data that must be kept and evaluated periodically. Records refer to information retained for lengthy periods, while documents contain data that is maintained and frequently updated. The requirements for ISO 9001 do not include the creation of procedures or a quality manual. Documents and records of different types are required.

Additional details are available at https://www.iso-9001-checklist.co.uk/7.5-what-is-documented-information-in-ISO-9001.htm

There are four live documents and 21 records necessary for compliance with the ISO 9001 standards. Maintaining the documented information includes the scope of the quality management system, information necessary to support the QMS process, the quality policy, and the quality objectives. While these documents are brief, the records are very lengthy. A total of 21 records are required. The documented information delves into details about almost every aspect of the business.

The website describes the records to be kept and the information about QMS processes, resources, and measurement traceability. The detailed process outlined in ISO 9001 has a total of seven steps. Some of these steps require detailed records to be kept. The named items on the list include development and design planning, inputs, controls, outputs, and changes. Robust process control is needed for a quality management system to operate correctly. Each aspect of compliance and auditing verification is determined by scrutinising documented evidence.
