Recently, Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC) has teamed up with SANY Heavy Industry Thailand (SANY), ROOTCLOUD Technology (Singapore) Company Limited (ROOTCLOUD), and LEADWAY Heavy Machinery Company Limited (LEADWAY), to explore the battery swap services and develop the battery-as-a-service business for electric commercial vehicles. The project aims to address electric vehicle operators’ pain points in the battery charging market and to accelerate pollution-free transportation in response to the promotion of clean energy and zero carbon by 2060.
Mrs. Rosaya Teinwan, Executive Vice President of GPSC, reveals that this cooperation is to study the feasibility of battery swap services and battery-as-a-service business development for electric commercial vehicles (eCV), including the development of monitoring and operation & management software for the batteries and swap stations.
Mr. Paul Da, General Manager of SANY, says “We are willing to draw on each other’s strengths and cooperate with GPSC to create a new, clean, environmentally friendly, and comfortable operating atmosphere for the whole transportation industry chain in Thailand. SANY will contribute its technology expertise in battery swap and electric commercial vehicles to build a green terminal with digital demonstrations in Thailand together with GPSC.”
