Eva S. Pinkney, Founder of Talking Parrot Media LLC, Announces the Release of Her Long-Awaited Novel, Crazy Is As Crazy Does Part 2

Eva S. Pinkney’s debut novella, Crazy Is As Crazy Does Part 1, received approvals from various quarters of the literary world, there has been so much anticipation around the release of Part 2 which is now available.

Inspired by a desire to share her experiences growing up with a mother who was schizophrenic, the author pinned this novel as a form of therapy as well as a tool to assist people across the globe suffering from one form of mental illness or the other.  Founder of Talking Parrot Media, Eva S. Pinkney is pleased to announce the release of the continuation of her debut novella, Crazy Is As Crazy Does Part 2, which was released on June 7, 2022.

Crazy Is As Crazy Does Part 2 is based heavily on growing up in the shadow of mental illness in an attempt to tackle themes that have been historically considered taboo. Part 1 is a story about Amber Hayden, who was betrayed by her best friend who slept with her man. Amber battles with the frightening thought of becoming mentally unstable like her mother.  She seeks refuge at Ms. Lola’s house, a center of gambling, bootleg liquor and prostitution in Amber’s inner-city neighborhood in Washington, D.C.

In Part 2 the story picks up in 1970.  Amber, who is now fourteen-years-old, suffers from anxiety and depression.  She becomes a drug dealer and falls in love with an older man, a well-known hustler in the streets of Washington, D.C.  Amber becomes a victim of domestic abuse and is exposed to murder, corruption, and deceit. She turns to the Go-Go as another outlet from all the surrounding insanity, dancing until the wee hours of the morning to forget all her problems.

Crazy Is As Crazy Does Part 2 is a page-turner that won’t disappoint.  It is an Urban Fiction novel that all ages over eighteen can relate to on so many levels. The book is not just to offer readers an enthralling and entertaining read but to show the mental health community an effective teaching tool for clinicians and organizations that deal with recovering addicts and domestic violence.

The book is available on the following platforms www.talkingparrotmedia.com Amazon and Barnes & Noble or send an email to eva.pinkney18@gmail.com
