Professional Development Advocate, Michele Badie is Organizing a Mental Health Awareness for Professionals in Central Florida

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Natasha D'Arcangelo would be the guest speaker at this in-person workshop which is aimed at helping professionals across various spheres of endeavor to improve their mental health and supercharge their careers

Michele Badie, a professional development advocate, author, and creative is pleased to announce the date of her event for mental health awareness for professionals. The workshop, Color to Connect supports Michele's mission to see professionals be more aware of their mental health and the things that affect it, understand how to improve their mental health, and become more productive and prosperous in their career paths. It will be held on August 13 at 3086 Costa Club Drive, Ocoee, FL 34761, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Natasha D'Arcangelo will be the guest speaker.

“I have redefined what self-care means to me actively and found my way back to connecting to one of the joys of my childhood, coloring,” explained Michele Badie. “In 2022, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I created the Keep Your Stride adult coloring book of career-centric affirmations that you can color and stir up your creativity and the simple joy that coloring can bring to your day. I also created the Color To Connect workshops to allow professionals to color, network, and receive mental health tips from a licensed mental health counselor in a serene environment. Since publishing the coloring book, many have shared with me how taking time to color has helped them decompress from their workday and the stresses of everyday life.”

At the Color to Connect event, guest mental health counselor, Natasha D'Arcangelo will share tips on breaking down and overcoming mental health stigmas. Attendees will learn how they can manage stress, anxiety, and their work/life relationship to keep their mental health stable. In addition to the information Natasha will provide, attendees will engage in coloring activities using Michele's 'Keep Your Stride Adult Coloring Book.' This will help attendees not only connect to their creative side, as Michele believes coloring promotes relaxation.

“I want to help professionals find creative options that support their efforts to be consistent with nurturing their mental health on an ongoing basis,” commented Michele Badie.

The Color to Connect in-person workshop for professionals aims to be the fundamental change for professionals. It is open to anyone who's willing to increase and improve their mental health creatively.
