Renowned flutist Roberto Hobaica launched the “Your time could save a life” project in Miami to attract Venezuelan musical talent to the US.

“We are looking for talented individuals living in the United States, who belong to different music shows and marching bands in Venezuela, to share their success stories and musical techniques,” said the musician in Miami.

The project will benefit children and teens belonging to the Venezuelan show band system, and it will also develop similar musical traditions in the United States.

“An hour of your time is more than enough to change the lives of children and teens in Venezuela to provide them with a better future. If you belong to any of these groups and have skills in social media and are a digital content creator, you would be of great help to this movement”, added Hobaica, a former member of prominent musical bands in his native country.

Due to the situation in Venezuela, children and young people have had to start working early to help their families, which has forced them to abandon artistic activities and even school.

The initiative also seeks help from companies and individuals to finance the participation of Venezuelan bands in contests and events such as the World Band Championships in Buckhannon, West Virginia, and the Rose Parade in California next year.

Roberto Hobaica has shared the stage with artists such as Chino y Nacho, La Melodía Perfecta, Desorden Público, Olga Tañón and Oscar de León, having starred in top-level events such as Miss Venezuela. Since 2009 he has stood out for his impressive technique using woodwind instruments, Roberto is also known for his talent in the field of musical reading and solfège, specializing in the transverse flute. He currently works as a collaborator of the Venezuelan show band system.
