ANNUAL SUMMER FUN FESTIVALS

Lift Up Atlanta is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that has been providing basic needs and educational training to low-income families for over 10 years. Lift Up Atlanta began assisting homeless women and children in 2011, but has since expanded its services to include men and low-income families in the metro Atlanta area. Food, shelter, clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items, household goods, school supplies, toys, and other necessities are examples of services.

Over 200 families received Thanksgiving food baskets, school supplies, clothing, household goods, and toys in 2015. Each year, the number of families in need has increased, and we now serve 300-400 families per year. Lift Up Atlanta's summer lunch program provided lunches to over 1000 children in need. Over 1000 homeless people were given food, water, personal hygiene items, clothing, and other necessities.

Clients have expressed gratitude and an absolute need for Lift Up Atlanta's services over the last 10 years. The Community Closet provides essential items such as food, clothing, shoes, household goods, and so on on a regular basis. Clients have stated that they have gone without food on occasion, and Lift Up Atlanta has provided them with what they require to feed their families. Clients have expressed their inability to purchase school supplies, clothing, household goods, toys, and other much-needed items for their families due to a lack of funds. The coat, blanket, and warm wear drive is Lift Up Atlanta's most popular service. Lift Up Atlanta was able to distribute over 300 coats and blankets to the homeless and those in need in 2015. Every year, the demand grows.

Lift Up Atlanta is having its annual Summer Fun Festival - a fun family event which includes a petting zoo, kids’ fun zone, games, arts and crafts, vendors, delicious fun food and so much more.  Something for everyone. The admission is free.  All funds raised go to help children in need.  Donations of new backpacks and school supplies will be collected which will go directly to children in need.

The total number of individuals and families in need served by Lift Up Atlanta in the community will be used to determine success. The number of clients has increased year after year, and Lift Up Atlanta has consistently been able to meet the increasing demand to a great extent.

The event will take place on July 16, 2022, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Jason T Harper Event Center, 95 Lake Dow Rd, McDonough, GA.
