New York City, NY – Military Veteran, Shao, who lost his soon-to-be home to an ungrateful seller who is currently keeping Shao’s $100,000 good faith deposit. Shao needed an extension on the contract to complete the necessary steps to secure his loan. In New York, you have a 30-day grace period, whereas you can extend the contract past 30 days post original closing date.

Unfortunately, the seller did not accept this extension and kept Shao’s $100,000 good faith deposit. Furthermore, the seller has not relisted the property and still lives there today. Shao has hired an attorney to fight to receive his money back. The attorney fees may wipe out his winnings.
