Two-week-long Design Thinking & STEM summer program will teach high school students how to design and build life-changing products for individuals with disabilities.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 18, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Design the Future: Digital, the next iteration of the award-winning Design the Future Design Thinking and STEM summer program, will teach students worldwide to design and launch apps that improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities without needing to learn to write code.

Created by Durell Coleman, Founder & CEO of DC Design, and developed in collaboration with the Institute of Design at Stanford University (the d.school), "Design the Future Digital" partners' teams of high school students and their university design coach with an individual living with a physical disability. Together, they work hand in hand to build a functional app using real-world design thinking and UX & UI Design methods like persona creation, storyboarding, wire-framing, app layout, app design, and more.

Launched on Monday, June 14th, the two-week remote Design the Future: Digital summer program will immerse students in grades 8 – 12 into a world of design, offering 40+ hours of professional mentorship and guidance, dynamic speakers, real-time problem solving, lasting friendships, and more.
