Geiss explained “CompactClick was a solid name when I started the website, but as I evolved the site and started writing reviews, camera care, and photography tips, I realized that it needed something different. The name GBMA Photography lets you know out of the gate what it is that we deal with, and we won’t end up with as many people looking for other items associated with the word ‘click’.”
The website has gone through a rebranding in terms of color and style. Geiss has also taken the opportunity to update the navigation of the website. He believes that these updates will help his followers, and those who come upon the website via search engine or social share, to get what information they need more quickly.
Many professional photographers now offer videography services as well, so having resources about both on one website can be helpful for those individuals who dabble in both areas. The GBMA Photography website has also expanded into information about using video cameras, which many of his followers had been requesting for a time.
The GBMA Photography website also has added a complete section on audio recording, including audio editing and choosing the correct external microphone for your purposes. All of the new changes and additions to the website, along with the new branding, can be found at the renamed website, gbmaphotography.com.
