To begin the treatment process, 2 drops of each solution are mixed in a separate glass. One minute after mixing, the treatment solution is added to 16 oz of water. This ratio is scalable, and larger quantities of water require additional treatment solutions. The treatment kits do not expire if stored correctly. Treated water remains potable for several years following treatment. If stored in an area without sunlight, air exposure, or high temperatures, the water can stay clean for up to 4 years.
