Texas unemployment claims fall again — and Austin is a national leader for resiliency of job market

It was the fewest first-time jobless claims submitted in Texas since March. And Austin has lost less than 2% of its jobs in the past year — tied with Salt Lake City for lowest level in the nation among major metros.
