Duke Energy rate hearings turn to policy impact on low-income customers

The joint portion of commission hearings on rate hike requests from Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress ended Tuesday. The commission will resume hearings Thursday, starting with issues specific to Duke Carolinas’ request to increase rates by 2.1% over the next two years.
