Mayo, facing big deficit, targets payroll and projects

Mayo Clinic said Friday it would cut pay for more than 20,000 employees and delay some multimillion-dollar construction plans in Rochester in an effort to offset losses from the sudden economic downturn triggered by the COVID-19 epidemic.
