LET GO AND LET SPA

Actor Thomas Kee (The New Mutants, Chappaquiddick) and writer Kristi Artinian (Variety World Wide with Neil Patrick Harris), mix irreverent humor with historic stories of remote hot springs, ancient vapor caves, and ultra-luxury mineral baths used in Native American medicine, all in the first episode.

Nationally renowned Native American (Ute) storyteller Larry Cesspooch (Tedx Park City, SundanceLabs), featured in SpaGoblin: Native Springs, episode 1, says “ Our Noohchew, Ute People were the First People of Colorado and Utah. They knew Creator & Mother Earth provided the hot springs with good medicine. Kristi & Tom share their experience of Colorado history (in Native Springs ) and enjoy the benefits of the springs..“ This installment unveils his people’s ancient connection to Colorado’s hot springs. With an original soundtrack by Navajo songwriter Leon Littlebird, as well as interviews of prominent authors, Native Springs uncovers unique spa adventures for viewers to explore on Colorado’s western slope.

Inspired by the late Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown,” SpaGoblin captures the culture and unique stories surrounding each spa adventure they highlight. The first three episodes (available March 18, 2020) take viewers across North America stopping in Quebec City for authentic Quebecois cuisine and splashing down in some of the hottest and coldest, legendary Nordic Spas in Eastern Canada.

Episode 3, SpaGoblin: Cryo on Outer Banks discovers some hip counter-culture spots in coastal North Carolina. Comedian Ashley Strand ( Xtreme Comedy Challenge, Laughing Skull Comedy Festival) co-hosts offering up his brand of audacious humor. A self-proclaimed “bio-hacker,” which the comedian defines as “Triggering your body’s self healing mechanisms through behavior and diet,” Cryo on Outer Banks follows Kee and Strand as they try out a minus 200 degree Fahrenheit cryotherapy chamber before hitting to local hookah bar to interview a transgender video producer about how much the culture has changed in North Carolina.

Each show transports the audience to uniquely authentic, often extreme spa experiences offering a sometimes comic, but always admiring look at the culture and people that bring these places to life.

Episodes 1,2, & 3 begin streaming at 7:00 pm EST on gospagoblin.com The producers are hosting a live online “launch-cast” with interviews and give-aways from 7:00-8:00 pm on Spa Goblin Facebook.
