PegEx®, Inc. today announced it has added new functionality to its cloud-based hazardous waste management software, the PegEx Platform. This new feature enables the user to search for, preview, retrieve, and add the latest version of the appropriate safety data sheet (SDS) to their waste stream information. The search feature connects to a worldwide database of over eight million safety data sheets and returns the latest revision, so you always have up-to-date and accurate information.
The information in the SDS is a critical component to waste stream management and it is one of the three documents required by the EPA. The SDS is presented in a digital format making it easy to copy and paste information from the SDS into the other critical waste stream management documents, manifests, and waste profiles.
This new technology also supplies the Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) number. This links the user to a wealth of information detailing the makeup and characteristics of the substance.
