Self-driving vehicle maker Zoox is raising $500 million at a $3.2 billion valuation

The $500 million funding round for Zoox, which is building an autonomous vehicle from the ground up, is another big bet by investors on a self-driving future. GM's Cruise, Google's Waymo, and Uber and Lyft are some of the other well-backed companies competing in the space.
