Macy's National ''Thanks for Sharing'' Campaign Returns for 2007

Macys (NYSE:M) has kicked off its national Thanks for Sharing holiday gift rewards program, which allows customers to give back to charities in their communities when they enroll in the program at their favorite Macys store and on macys.com/thanksforsharing. Thanks for Sharing has benefited communities nationwide with more than $24 million in the last four years.

Thanks for Sharing benefits the American Heart Associations Go Red for Women movement to promote heart health, as well as charities selected in each region of the country by the seven Macys divisions. These regional recipients include organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald Houses, Americas Second Harvest and the American Red Cross.

Our Thanks for Sharing program continues to be a cornerstone holiday tradition that gives us the chance to come together with our customers in support of charities, including local charities, that make a difference, said Terry J. Lundgren, Macys chairman, president and chief operating officer. This program is just one example of what Macys and our customers can do together to benefit our local communities.

Thanks for Sharing debuted as a Macys initiative in 2003 a distinctive effort from which customers benefit during the holiday season, and charities benefit throughout the year. For a $25 enrollment fee, Macys cardholders can earn a 10% reward on most Macy's and macys.com net purchases made with their Macys credit card during the holiday shopping season through December 31, 2007.

For each Thanks for Sharing program member, Macys will then make a $10 donation to Macys sponsorship of the Go Red For Women Campaign or to other participating charities, including local charities that receive the benefit of having Macys customers in their communities participate. In February and March 2008, program participants will receive their special Reward Card. Details on the Thanks for Sharing program are available online at macys.com/thanksforsharing or at participating Macys stores nationwide.
