1. Verizon Corp: (NYSE: VZ) : Mike Tighe discusses business drivers for Ethernet services, highlighting how Carrier Ethernet can provide scalability, capacity and COS capabilities to support requirements of the real time enterprise, and looks at the future for Ethernet.
2. Juniper Networks: (NasdaqGS: JNPR): Juniper Fellow Kireeti Kompella considers some perspectives on multicast and transport as well as the challenges and solutions, including the business model, data plane, control plane, OAM and dealing with the edge.
3. Extreme Networks (NasdaqGM: EXTR) : With regard to the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC) showcase at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress, Extreme's Jan Hof describes demonstrated interoperability of data plane, control plane and protocol inter-working.
4. Also newly issued is a two-part presentation by Jack Wimmer, looking at the growth in IP network traffic and the practical modulation schemes available for carriers. In Part 2 of the presentation he compares the alternatives and examines the best fit for access, metro and long haul networks. Jack is the former VP of Network Architecture and Advanced Technology at Verizon - before that in a similar role at MCI.
