Paychex Training Director Honored with Learning in Practice Award

Chief Learning Officer, a leading magazine for the enterprise learning industry, has presented Kimberly Kelly, Paychex director of training and development, with the Silver Award in the Leadership category of its annual Learning In Practice awards. The awards recognize the best and the brightest minds in corporate learning, honoring industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of workforce learning and development programs.

Were very proud of Kim for receiving this recognition of her contributions to the training industry and to our company, said Paychex vice president of organizational development Will Kuchta. Kim has demonstrated outstanding leadership over the years. Recognizing the need to change in the face of success, she carefully avoids fads and concentrates on methods that bring bottom line results.

Ms. Kelly joined Paychex in 1985 as a payroll specialist. As one of the companys first training managers, she was instrumental in building The University of Paychex, the companys training and development center, which provided more than 1.2 million hours of training for Paychex employees during fiscal 2007. Through the University, each of Paychexs 11,000+ employees receives an average of 107.5 hours of training annually. Under Ms. Kellys leadership, the University of Paychex has been named one of Training magazines top training organizations for six consecutive years.
