WESTMINSTER, England - Dec. 7, 2017 - PRLog -- Professor Chris Imafidon, renowned government and presidential adviser, scholar, and educator was honoured alongside popular BBC actress, Ms. Ellen Thomas; Dr. Josephine Ojiambo, Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth; and Philanthropist and Chair, of the Labour party, Dr. Mike Omotosho yesterday at the British parliament in the palace of Westminster in central London.

Other people named at the occasion were Jake McLeod of UNICEF; President and founder of the European School of Economics, President Elio D'Anna; prominent persons of African origin who were celebrated in rare ceremony in the palace of Westminster in London.

Speaking, Prof. Chris Imafidon, who chairs, The ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk program, in characteristic modesty said, "Personally I am not deserving of such a huge honour, it is my students and scholars that did all the work, therefore, I dedicate this award to them, and thank the Almighty God, my grandparents and the organizers for this day. A big shout out to the staff and management of http://www.excellenceineducation.org.uk/ program. This is more fuel for us to do more and pursue our philosophy that there is a genius in everyone. Hence my book entitled The Genius in You." Prof. Imafidon disagreed with popular press and experts who described his family as the world's smartest and gave proof that everyone has a genius or greatness in them. "You may be a suppressed genius, oppressed genius or an expressed genius, you are a genius in some ways."

Dr. Mike Omotosho, who heads his own foundation, said during his speech that philanthropy must be universal and the girl child deserves more educational support that any government is doing. Dr. Josephine Ojiambo noted the progress that has been made in education for females but said that more needed to be done.

This Award ceremony has been rated by FORBES Magazine as one of the most prestigious award Ceremonies of its type. Jakaya Kikwete Republic of Tanzania, Mr. John Momoh, Dr. Mathews Phosa, Kofi Anan Foundation,The Justina Mutale Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The African Development Bank etc.
