Emerson boosts takeover bid for Rockwell Automation to $29B in total value

Through a letter sent to Rockwell Automation president and CEO Blake Moret, the latest offer proposes to acquire all outstanding shares of Milwaukee-based Rockwell for $225 per share, consisting of $135 per share in cash and $90 per share in Emerson shares. The total value of the transaction would be about $29 billion.
