Franchot says Flying Dog will be impetus for reforming Maryland's beer laws

It is "completely unacceptable for the state's business reputation to have the leading craft brewery pull back on a $50 million investment in the state of Maryland and in Frederick County because of largely uninformed decisions made by the legislature," Franchot said. "I'm very optimistic that the state is going to move into one of the top positions nationally (for breweries) and the impetus, the catalyst for that will be in part experiences like Flying Dog."
