WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Jan. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Local authors Joan C Afman and Mary M Ricksen debut their new women’s fiction novel “Step On Me More”, co-authored after realizing they each had a bullying story to tell. The effects of being bullied last a lifetime, and the hurt doesn’t fade once the bruise is gone.
Wanting to share this message, they combined their talents to create a novel meant to enlighten as well as entertain.
Shelburne High School teachers Kailyn Hartigan and Lisa Stone take an anti-bullying stance to protect the teens in their halls, even as they are tormented by their new principal, Stephanie Moore. Bullying doesn’t just happen to kids. Danger escalates as Kailyn and Lisa refuse to stay victims. Love and friendship are tested while the women navigate a school year that ends in tragedy.
“This novel has impact,” said Mary Ricksen, co-author. “Everyone can relate to this issue in some way. In Step On Me More, Ms. Afman and I uncover a tale not often told from an adult perspective.”
