Seagate Technology (Nasdaq: STX) will pay a premium of approximately $374 million in cash to acquire Xyratex Ltd. (Nasdaq: XRTX). Shares of Seagate rose 23 cents to $55.88 while Xyratex stock leaped $2.83 to $13.28.
