The markets closed flat with the Dow losing 35 points to 16,360 as tensions eased in Ukraine while jobs data disappointed. Nasdaq added 6 points to 4357. 

On the upside 

TheStreet expects Renren (NYSE: RENN) to post a loss for the fourth quarter after market close on March 18 but the stock price climbed.

Shares of Agria (NYSE: GRO) climbed ahead of its earnings release before market open tomorrow.

Third quarter earnings nearly tripled for AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV) to surpass expectations by a wide margin.

On the downside

IMRIS (Nasdaq: IMRS) widened fourth quarter losses as revenue plunged.

MCG Capital (Nasdaq: MCGC) fell to a loss for the fourth quarter.

USEC (NYSE: USU) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

In the broad market, declining issues barely edged out advancers by a slim margin of nearly 10 to 9 on both the NYSE and on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 held steady at 1873. Bitcoin slipped $5.89 or 0.89% to $656.55.
