Markets higher as Greece requests additional funds

The markets traded higher with the Dow adding 30 points to 17,627 as Greece asked for additional funds to avert a bankruptcy. Nasdaq rose 23 points to 4,982.

On the upside

KeyBanc Capital Markets analyst Akshay Jagdale said that TreeHouse Foods (NYSE: THS) could potentially buy ConAgra’s (NYSE: CAG) private label foods business.

Bargain hunters lifted shares of Advaxis (Nasdaq: ADXS).
Alder BioPharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ALDR) president and chief executive Randall C. Schatzman will present today at the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association 2015 Life Science Innovation Northwest conference.

On the downside

Shares of Ambac Financial (Nasdaq: AMBC) extended its losses.

Shares of Real Goods Solar (Nasdaq: RGSE) continued falling.

Tuesday Mornings (Nasdaq: TUES) chief financial officer Jeffrey N. Boyer resigned.
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of more than 5 to 3 on both the NYSE and on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 rose 4 points to 2062. Bitcoin climbed $12 to $267.
