OKLAHOMA CITY - Sept. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Latoya Songstress Cooper returns to Heartland Roots for her last acoustic performances of the year. She will host an outdoor concert at Full Circle Bookstore (1900 Northwest Expressway) in Oklahoma City Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. for music lovers and industry professionals.
Latoya is a classically trained vocalist and guitarist, known for her pure smooth vocal tone and memorable performances. Her music is fun, uplifting and full of flavor. Her voice glides over a smooth blend of Folk, Soul, Reggae and Latin vibes.
"Singing is how I connect with God. That's the reason singing and songwriting is so important to me,” the songstress says. “I stopped singing for 10 years due to life situations, but I have a second chance to get things right." Since Latoya's return to songwriting and recording music, she has performed for sold-out audiences and alongside international artists.
The University of Oklahoma graduate and creator of Sooner Idol (2004) will also make an appearance at her alma mater September 25, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Student Union (900 Asp Avenue), where she will perform and host a meet and greet for OU students and the surrounding community.
Eclectic Soul, the songwriter’s multi-faceted EP debuted June 13, 2015. Eclectic Soul is a smooth, soulful blend of Neo-Soul, Folk and Latin influences. Latoya's upcoming performances will feature original material from her EP and full album due to be released in 2016. Latoya’s mission to empower listeners is evident in her work, and distinguishes the Songstress’ brand.
