General Employment Issues Clarification Regarding Settlement by Accounting Firm BDO USA, LLP ("BDO") in BDO Administrative Proceeding with the SEC

NAPERVILLE, IL / ACCESSWIRE / September 9, 2015 / General Employment Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE MKT: JOB) ("the Company", "GEE" or "General Employment") a provider of specialty staffing services and solutions today made the following statement in reference to today's Order issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") regarding the SEC's administrative proceeding against accounting firm BDO USA, LLP ("BDO") for improper professional conduct regarding prior year audits of the Company for the fiscal years ended on September 30, 2009 and 2010 and the related settlement by BDO with the SEC.

General Employment was not a party to the SEC administrative proceeding against BDO nor was it notified by the agency in advance of today's disclosure. The Company has not received any notice from the SEC that it is a part of or named in any proceeding with the agency. The executives of General Employment and directors responsible for oversight and management during the fiscal years ended September 30, 2009 and 2010 that were referenced in the SEC's Order are no longer a part of GEE. The Company had previously dismissed BDO as its auditor in 2012.
