Arts Consulting Group Promotes Rebekah Lambert to Vice President, Organizational Development

PRLog - March 30, 2015 - LOS ANGELES -- Arts Consulting Group, Inc. (ACG), the leading provider of hands-on management consulting services to the arts and culture industry, today announced the promotion of Rebekah Lambert to vice president, organizational development. Based in ACG’s Portland office, Ms. Lambert joined the firm in 2009 as a senior consultant. ACG’s organizational development practice supports arts and culture organizations in realizing their full potential through strategic planning and community engagement, executive and employee development, operational review and process improvement, retreat planning and facilitation, and customized training. Ms. Lambert’s recent ACG client initiatives include strategic planning with Bravo Greater Des Moines and the Kalamazoo Symphony, organizational assessment with San Diego’s Pacific Arts Movement, and numerous facilitated team building activities and exploratory strategic partnership efforts across the country.

Prior to joining ACG, Ms. Lambert served as associate executive director of programs at ShelterCare, an Oregon nonprofit human services agency that serves families who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and adults who have a mental illness or brain injury. She now serves as a member of the Board of Directors of ShelterCare. In addition, Ms. Lambert served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Albania where she engaged in capacity-building efforts with municipalities and nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Lambert’s career in arts management includes serving as executive director of the Eugene Symphony from 1996 to 2003. Under her leadership, the orchestra experienced unprecedented stability and artistic growth. In addition to other accomplishments, she managed two successful music director searches, bringing first Miguel Harth-Bedoya and then Giancarlo Guerrero to the podium. During this period, Ms. Lambert served on the Board of Directors of the League of American Orchestras and as faculty of the Orchestra Leadership Academy.

Ms. Lambert began her career in Los Angeles with positions at the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Young Musicians Foundation. After completing the prestigious League of American Orchestra’s Orchestra Management Fellowship, she held positions with the Honolulu Symphony and the Symphony of Southeast Texas. Ms. Lambert holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Organization and Management.
