ABINGDON, Va., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR) has added two professionals to its corporate development staff to supplement the company's strategic activities.
Kyle Roblee and E. Alex Hoffman have each joined Alpha as director of corporate development. Both Roblee and Hoffman will report to David Gay, vice president, Corporate Development.
Roblee has experience with project finance, risk management and the debt and equity markets. Most recently he worked on renewable energy strategy and mergers and acquisitions for DTE Energy Services in Ann Arbor, Mich. He also led the greenfield development of Heartland Steel and led Citigroup's transportation and equipment financing team in Houston. Roblee earned his MBA from Rice University and BS in business administration from Purdue University.
Hoffman most recently served as senior associate director for PNC Capital Markets LLC where he served in an advisory role on M&A transactions in the coal sector. Prior experience includes working in the investment banking division of Raymond James & Associates, Inc. Hoffman received his BA in history from Yale University and his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
