This May local sports announcer Scott Tucker will be giving away prizes on behalf of a federation of non-profits local to Lubbock, Texas, including a new truck. Tickets go on sale this weekend with no limit as well as a scheduled trivia contest earlier in the day. Winners from the contest will be given extra chances to win prizes in the sweepstakes.
“We are very excited to announce this new sweepstakes,” says George Hanson of Simply Awesome Cars. “Not only are they giving away a bunch of great prizes, local legend Scott Tucker is the master of ceremonies. There is expected to be a big turnout, and we will have a booth there as well with tons of free stuff and contests of our own.”
With the festivities getting under way at noon, there will be plenty of free parking and lots of activities for kids and adults including a water balloon toss, inflatable jumpy house, and free face painting.
Scott Tucker had this to say about the event, “I’m very happy they came to me with this offer. Being around lots of people, especially in my community, is really something I love be a part of. We are also trying to organize a friendly softball game at some time during the day so we will keep everyone posted on the timing and location of that as well.”
With all the activities and prizes being offered there is expected to be a very large turn-out so plan accordingly. Sun screen and hats are a must, as well as a valid drivers license to drive away with that brand new truck.
