Veterans Steve Staunton, Cyrille Regis and Tony Daley link up with EZE Group in Tenerife, Canary Islands


FORMER MIDLANDS PREMIERSHIP STARS TO COACH RISING TALENT IN SPAIN

A host of ex-Midlands footballers are helping to develop young talent in the Canary Islands after linking up with one of the world’s biggest entertainment, leisure and travel specialists.

Former Aston Villa stars Steve Staunton, Tony Daley, and Cyrille Regis, are coaching young footballers in Tenerife as part of their new roles as ambassadors for EZE Group.

And as well as helping to raise the profile of the company in the UK, they will be offering advice to starlets at CD Buzanada, a local youth team sponsored by EZE Group.

The first to visit was former Villa and Liverpool defender, and ex-Republic of Ireland manager, Steve Staunton, who took an afternoon training session with eight different teams last month.

Regis and Daley are expected to follow suit in the New Year.

“Some of them have already been scouted by Real Madrid and Barcelona.”
