Northrop abandons bid to make U.S. aerial tankers

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Northrop Grumman Corp. late Monday dropped out of a hotly-contested bid to supply the U.S. Air Force with aerial refueling tankers, leaving rival Boeing uncontested in its effort to snag the lucrative contract.
