(PRUnderground) July 20th, 2024

Adam Ludwin (founder, Ludwin Law Group), Sameer Somal (CEO, Blue Ocean Global Technology), and Aashna Duggal (Chief Legal Officer, Girl Power Talk) successfully presented an impactful Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program entitled “AI in Legal Research” for the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) on 10th July 2024. The program was designed to provide attorneys and legal professionals with a thorough understanding of the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on legal research.

Participants learned how AI technologies—ranging from natural language processing to predictive analytics—are revolutionizing legal research by automating document analysis, refining search capabilities, and generating data-driven case strategies.

The session explored current applications of AI in legal research, including generative AI technology, legal data analysis, and AI-powered document review. The program highlighted time savings, human error minimization, and cost-effectiveness benefits. Participants received actionable guidance on AI’s ability to automate routine tasks and provide real-time updates that create advantages for legal professionals.

“Using AI in legal research is changing how legal professionals approach their work,” said Somal, “By learning what AI can do and how it helps, attorneys can improve the accuracy and efficiency of their research. This leads to better decisions and client outcomes.”

Ludwin added, “When it comes to legal research and practice, AI is no longer an optional add-on; it’s now a crucial ingredient for success. It helps lawyers focus on strategic work by automating routine tasks and offering deeper insights through advanced analysis. To stay competitive and achieve great results, legal professionals need to embrace the application of AI technology.”
