Motorized system for Metaltech Baker type Scaffold

METALTECH-OMEGA INC., North American leader in the manufacturing and distribution of scaffolding, temporary fencing, and ladders, is announcing the launch of the Metaltech® Climb-N-Go™. This product is an electric motor designed to be installed on all Metaltech® Baker-type scaffolds, allowing it to be moved without the need of using a freight elevator. Compact, light, and easy to install on a job site, workers will be able to move around at height in a safe way.

"The Climb-N-Go™ was designed by our engineering team in Montreal to increase workers' efficiency, eliminating the need to get off the scaffold to move it on jobsites," explains Bruno Tasse, President at Metaltech-Omega Inc. This motorized system has an automatic wheel-lock system that increases workers' security by creating a stable working area and prevents accidents from lack of vigilance. 

Equipped with a powerful electric motor, the Climb-N-Go™ is propelled by the energy of an 18 to 21-volt battery from one of the six largest battery brands in the industry. Its wheels are installed and locked at the bottom of the scaffold and the joystick control is placed on the guardrail or directly on the rung of the scaffold. 

The main features of the Metaltech® Climb-N-Go™ are :

• Can be powered by the six largest battery brands, such as: DEWALT®[1], MAKITA®[2], MILWAUKEE®[3], STANLEY®[4], PORTER CABLE®[5], BLACK & DECKER®†[6]
• 4,500 feet of battery life on a single battery charge
• Quick and easy to install
• Automatic wheel-lock safety system

Climb-N-Go™ will be available as of Oct. 5.
