Epic Elephants Squad, an NFT Collection, announces the launch of Epic Elephants: Tennis Squad. Printed editions of the collection will be on exhibit from May 19 to June 16 at the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero. Interested collectors can participate in an online silent auction, set to conclude on June 3. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to non-profit organizations actively fighting to protect endangered elephants.
Epic Elephants: Tennis Squad is a special-edition NFT collection, composed of 12 tennis-themed Epic Elephants designed by the artist BARTEU. Each piece is unique, modeled after tennis legends, and specially created in celebration of the 2022 French Open. Located at the heart of Paris during one of the most important cultural events of the year, the collection will be Elephant-versions of Yannick Noah, Serena Williams, and Rafael Nadal among others.
The collection will be available for a silent auction beginning May 19th at 1 pm EST, and bidding will close on June 4th at 3 pm EST. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Wildlife SOS, Over & Above Africa, Trunks Up, and Global Sanctuary for Elephants. These organizations are fighting every day to rescue, protect, rehabilitate, and safeguard elephants all over the world.
Poaching has led to a drastic reduction in the elephant population, which is why several initiatives have been put in place across the globe to protect them and prevent them from going to extinction. The team at ‘Epic Elephants Squad’ aims to make a difference by leveraging Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and blockchain technology to help raise funds to protect endangered elephants.
When ‘Epic Elephants Squad’ was originally launched in March 2022, all 4000 NFTs were available to the mint for free in order to raise awareness of the alarming Elephant crisis. This also allowed a large number of people to join the Epic Elephants community. Holders of the NFT are granted a premier level of membership in the Epic Squad, unlocking access to exclusive content, privileges, and benefits. Every month, the project donates 20% of royalties to various animal foundations selected and voted by community members. The Epic Elephants project continues to gain traction, with over 750 owners of the Epic Squad and active supporters of the community worldwide.
