Item 8.01. Other Events.
On October 19, 2004, Advanced Magnetics, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that the Company had submitted a complete response to the approvable letter received from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (the “FDA”) for Combidex® and that the submission has been accepted by the FDA and assigned a user fee goal date of March 30, 2005. For more information, see the Company’s press release, dated October 19, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
