Item 8.01 Other Events.

Kansas City Southern ("KCS") is furnishing under Item 8.01 of this Current Report on Form 8-K the information included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report. Exhibit 99.1 is the KCS news release dated November 10, 2011, announcing that its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Kansas City Southern Railway Company, will redeem all of the $123.5 million aggregate principal amount of its 13% Senior Notes due 2013 outstanding at December 15, 2011.
