Item 12. Results of Operations and Financial Condition

 

On April 22, 2004, Microsoft Corporation issued a press release announcing its financial results for the fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2004, and presented materials on its website that included supplemental historical financial information. A copy of that supplemental information is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report. In addition, certain additional historical financial information was provided by Microsoft in a conference call webcast on April 22, 2004 following the issuance of the press release. A transcript of the portion of the conference call providing that additional historical financial information is set forth as Exhibit 99.2 to this report.
