Item 8.01          Other Events.

On October 21, 2010, First Savings Financial Group, Inc., the holding company for First Savings Bank, F.S.B. (the “Company”), announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a stock repurchase program to acquire up to 120,747 shares, or 5%, of the Company’s outstanding common stock.  For more information, reference is made to the press release dated October 21, 2010, a copy of which is attached to this Report as Exhibit 99.1 and is furnished herewith.
