In a presentation to a group of investment brokers in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on
Wednesday, September 17, 2003, PNM Resources Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer John Loyack reaffirmed the company's existing earnings
guidance for 2003. The company expects 2003 ongoing earnings (not including
one-time gains and charges) will be in the range of between $1.80 and $2.05 per
diluted share.
