On December 8, 2008, representatives of PDL BioPharma, Inc. (“PDL”) and Facet Biotech Corporation (“Facet”) will commence a series of meetings with investors, analysts and others in connection with PDL’s planned spin-off of its biotechnology operations into Facet, which will be accomplished through a pro rata stock dividend to PDL’s stockholders of the common stock of Facet. The slides that PDL and Facet will present in these meetings are attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K and are incorporated herein by reference.
