Item 8.01               Other Events.

Becton, Dickinson and Company (“BD”) and MDC Investment Holdings, Inc. filed a complaint against Retractable Technologies, Inc. (“RTI”) on September 6, 2007, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division.  Plaintiffs allege that RTI’s VanishPoint® product line infringes U.S. patent nos. 6,179,812 and 7,090,656.  Plaintiffs seek a declaration of infringement, an injunction against further infringement, compensatory damages (with interest), the costs of the litigation, and such other relief as the Court deems just and proper.  RTI believes that it has meritorious defenses to such allegations and intends to defend this lawsuit vigorously.
